Liston always gave a good account of himself in these longer interviews. He's clearly smarter than he is sold as.

sonny's hands almost looked unrealistic

can’t believe how humble and likeable he is compared to most boxers in interviews. Especially considering how he has been perceived.

Sonny Liston is easily one of the greatest boxers who ever lived. Glad he is finally getting some recognition.

I wish he had gotten to live long enough to see how much he was respected and loved.Thank you for posting

His name deserves to be up there with the greatest heavyweights in history. History owes him that.

Its funny how this man is supposed to be an illiterate simpleton yet he is more articulate and well spoken than 99% of fighters today.

@dallaskenn 3 years ago

He comes across as witty and considerate, unlike the invented stereotype of him.

Sonny outclassed this whole interview with his humility.

Absolute gold! Sonny was very thoughtful and funny. Very enjoyable

Sonny is more humble and likeable than about 95% of prizefighters in history.

Far more likeable and humble than I thought he would be.

I feel so sorry for him because of how the media misconstrued who he was. 🕊️

Sunny Liston... He was one misunderstood fighter, I'm 28 years old living in the UK and this man is an inspiration to me.

For soMeone that had been through whatvSonny had been through coming up-and the negative perception the press LOVED to portray Sonny as-he was an extremely thoughtful and articulate and humble champion. Never ever got the credit
That this unstoppable champ I. The prime deserved.

Funny how the most intimidating boxer of them all also had the nicest smile

Sonny Liston is like a humble Lion 🦁

Max Goldberg was very respectful and had some insightful questions. I've seen a lot of footage of Sonny but never with him relaxed and joking and sharing his opinions like this. Thanks so much for sharing this amazing piece of history.
