These do look rather fantastic.  Especially with thdctwo 37s on the ftont. We get axfiet of 66s through Rugby, but occasionally you get something a bit more interesting like a 37.

I agree. Each to their own, but I am now all dc and even use only TriAng Super 4 track, and scratch build buildings. I agree that wiring and setting up a cab control system is great fun

Nice video mate, I have a couple of these kits lying around I've still to get around building.
Also, regarding handbrake wheels , the 'male' face of a 6mm press stud make great representation of some types of handbrake wheels. I scratch built some JXA wagons similar to the   Appleby cast resin type , I also scratbuilt the scherilian bogie frames, mostly made from various  Evergreen styrene strip and I used 3mm grubscrews to represent its coil springs.
6mm staples made a good likeness for the ladder rungs on the ends of body.

Have you ever tried the Faber-Castell line of pencils.  They have several hardness of graphite as well as colors.
