finally a fake ps1 game that accurately captures the weirdness of those weird ps1 games with deep and compelling messages, I hate some of them can be so pretentious and underwhelming but this one takes the cake way better, kudos to the devs my day just got healed ❤

I love how you included the loading screens each time that felt mad atmospheric

I watched all the video just to realize it has by now 72 likes and 4k views, this vid really felt like a work worth millions of views, I'm so confused rn lol.

About ending 3, i interpret it as a representation of generational trauma, a cycle of abuse inside of a family, when you first talk to the woman, she treats you as a child, calling you "kiddo" and advising you to not stay in front of the tv for too long and to remember to water your plants, which to me feels like a mom just reminding her child to do chores and do more than just stare at screens, though the way she seems to act when mentioning the plants, as if you were scared about something happening and how she talks about someone not liking you lingering in front of the tv, to me it paints a scene of a kid being scared of their dad lashing out at them.
After you pass through the hallway and come back, suddenly a child with a camera wireframe for a head is sitting in front of the tv, and you strike it down to get your own blood, so you are now playing a role of an abusive parent, as if you grew up and repeated the cycle of abuse to your own children.
I think the speech in the ending supports this as well, talking about how you deserve no sympathy but still they feel sorry for you and can't blame you fully as you were a product of your environment, all of this hints to me of an idea of a cycle of violence, of kids who were abused by their parents end up doing the same to their children once they become adults, the tv message after the hallway also seems to hint at this with the whole "you look just like your father thing".
I'd also wanna note that i think the tv messages that seem out of place and destructive, are meant to imply that it wasnt just a bad family life that shaped this cycle of abuse, but that outside influences from the world around you did too, with the tv for example trying to keep you in line with messages about how change you want is impossible, about how difference from outside can make those inside closer together, to buy stuff and even to not vote, it seems like its trying to "pacify" you towards the state of the world.
The mom, if thats what the woman is, also seems distant, resigned to perform a repetitive task despite seeming aware of how scared her child is of their own father, maybe she is a victim too, maybe she is just numb to it, in whatever case, she isnt acting to stop the cycle either, even though she seems to be kind.
To conclude, i think this ending is just a comment on how trauma can be passed onto children like a disease, kids who suffered from abusive parents can perpetuate the same abuse to their own family later on, if it's left alone to fester, and by using your own blood, or the blood of your child, as a catlyst for a new world, it forms a future of abuse and pain that seems to never break, and where all those perpetuating it do so because of how they were raised, making them all both victims of circumstance and the causers of that circumstance, a world that internalized so strongly the cycle of suffering, that changing it isnt even a possibility anymore, everyone is to blame, and also worthy of pity.

Not sure i wrote this all in a way that makes much sense, i kinda just started writing and kept going till it was over and i am too lazy to revise it, but hopefully its coherent enough for the idea to come across, really happy the algorithm showed me your video and this game, i like your takes on it and your narration in general, hope to see your channel grow with time

Genuinely incredible video. Came in looking for something to watch while I worked and left with the video taking up my whole attention. Genuinely, I'm excited to see what you make next!

One would think the creator is Japanese,  but to my astonishment he is from Texas

I was relly surprised by how high quality this video was, so much so I had to look at the rest of the channel since I couldn't believe this video didn't have more views. Honestly? I got a bit jumpscared by the 1 million view minecraft video lol, anyway, hope this video also picks up on the algorithmn!

Ending 8: Go touch some grass! :face-blue-smiling:

The cycle ending: I think it has to do with the cycle of generational trauma or abuse. The death of the child isn't literal; it's symbolic. Just like how bad things happened to you, you do them to your child. Eventually they grow up, become better than you and cut you out of their life. They are no longer your child in that sense.

It's alluded to in the way the wife talks to you (as she talks to you like you are the child in that situation). The other parent being angry at the child for watching the tv is a sort of sugar coated way to put that they get angry at their child for small things. Such as not watering the plant. The mother trying to comfort the child is also a subtle point to it. Because what would a reasonable parent do when their child watches too much tv? Probably limit tv time, have a talk about good/bad habits, encourage going outside, talk about how a plant is a living thing and needs water to survive (or the responsibility of caring for a living thing). Not flip out or get angry, so much so that a child would get anxiety about their reaction.

The comment on the tv about looking just like your father ties back into the generational trauma/abuse thing. If your father was abusive, you could also become abusive like him. A product of the world that raise you.

the game looks quite interesting

here before this gets big. awesome video man

Why is there so little likes. This video is absolutely amazing, I don’t believe me and only 7 other people found it good

Magical algo pull

For the Cycle Ending:

We, the player, are the Father.  We are also the Child.  As a child, we consume this garbage media that programmed us to be a certain way, and inevitably the Father inflicts trauma upon us.  We grow up.  We get a job, find a partner, buy a house, have our own child.  The child is just like us.  We inevitably inflict trauma upon that child, a behavior that was a product of our environment and our own experience with trauma, and they'll grow up to inflict that same trauma upon their child.

Over and over and over and over and over and over and over again ad infinitem.

By using Your Blood, you've damned yourself and the world around you to being a part of that cycle of violence.  You do not deserve sympathy, but you're given it anyway.  You ARE the brutish 1% that is killing the world, you're the 99% dying slowly in their service, you're nature being choked out of existence, and you're a player of a video game all at once at different times.

Great watch
about ending 3: the cycle
I believe it shows the player filling the shoes of a absent father
this is pointed by when you go downstairs, the faceless character is no longer washing dishes, even though they said they'd spend a a week or so doing that, meaning we spent even longer than that in our workspace presumably, in the second floor
theres also the mention of we not coming out before that, how we spent too long in front of the TV, and how we neglect the plants in our room
"...wandering through the night of the years in the land of oblivion where each one is the first man, where he had to bring himself up, without a father, having never known those moments when a father would call his son... to tell him the family's secret, or a sorrow of long ago, or the experience of his life... and he had to learn by himself, to grow alone, in fortitude, in strength, find his own morality and truth, at last to be born as a man..." Albert Camus, The First Man
