The Chunin Exams is one of the most iconic arcs in the Naruto series. From the Written Test, Forest of Death, Preliminariy fights, to the final round of the Chunin Exams there are many facts you may not know about the Chunin Exams.

Kishimoto had some great ideas, and was also compelled to implement several things in this arc by his Shonen Jump editor. So let's talk about these Chunin Exam facts you (probably) didn't know.

What's the best Chunin Exams fight?

@GeorgisTrying 11 months ago

For years I legit thought the Exams came too soon. It would have been better worldbuilding pace imo for other missions in other lands. Cool to think that Kishimoto was also in that mindset

I love that one of the facts is just "Sasuke did this really cool thing where he threw a kunai with his foot" and I agree wholeheartedly. Such a small thing, but one of my favorite moves in the entire show.

In defense of Iruka, his power level was in a state of flux at the time. If needed he would've been able to take on team 7 as plot demands.

The story definitely would have benefited with an arc between the land of the waves and the chunin exams. I wish Kishimoto’s wishes were respected but guy being from another village? I couldn’t imagine that.

I feel like if you open the scroll, and beat the ninja that’s summoned to your location, then that should be a secret, automatic passing grade for that part of the test.

Temari also has scratches on her in the manga, meaning the fight wasn't as one-sided as it was in the anime.

These memes in the transitions, mate, I'm dying over here. 🤣🤣🤣

8:15 I think the more important thing to note here is that those people were already wearing those clothes when Orochimaru killed them.

So either those Hidden Grass ninjas decided to wear Hidden Sound clothes that day or Orochimaru just stole their drip and kept it forever

I’m just wondering I think they had said the scrolls in the forest when opened I think it paralyzes the shinobi when opened before it’s in the correct room with the other scroll , so I think it paralyzes the shinobi to passing out and the junin is required to take care of the shinobi afterwards probably transporting them to a detention area

The real reason why kishimoto write the chunin exams was because the editors clearly forced him to do it.

That bit about Sasuke’s outfit being one piece was actually something I didn’t know

I bust out laughing at work at the thought of a random chunnin being summoned in front of teamgara 😂😂😂😂😂

Earlier, in the forest of death, Neji is shown being able to see behind him even without "the veins"..
..it seems that Hyuuga eyes can see through even in "calm state", depending on the wielder's level.
So, I believe that Neji not seeing Naruto's punch was mainly due to his fatigue, more than anything else

His editor saved the manga in so many ways it's insane. Without him it would've been even worse than Samurai 8

Tbh the pace at part 1 was so fast, when I first watched shippuden I didn't understand why Naruto bothered so much with Susuke at that point, they barley did any serious mission as a team except the land of waves

15:20 maybe I’m wrong but I always took it as just forced movement is uncomfortable. It’s not that Shika FELT the punch just that once Gaara got punched and his head suddenly was flung in that direction, Shikamaru’s head was also forced to move as if it was being punched and that doesn’t feel good
