What this guy said is just scratching the surface, the video would have to be at least a 10 parter if we are being honest.

No country should have a nuclear weapon...But bad guys don't play by the rules. So it's either, the good guys invent it and keep the peace or bad guys invent it and turn the entire world into North Korea...

Those were the only 2 options at the time and still to this day it's the only reason that America remains a free country.

If any other country were to attempt to nuke America, America has more than half of its nukes in submarines where no other country can locate them.

So the thought of mutual destruction is the ONLY thing keeping other countries from trying to nuke us and you

Without the transistor your cell phone would need to be about the size of a room to have the computing power it does.

the movie was Oppenheimer

He forgot we invented GPS , and the MRI

And the reason why the French hate Americans: we invented the modern deodorant

A very famous Hollywood actress during the 1940s and 50s contributed to the foundation for Wi-Fi and GPS:

Hedy Lamarr co-invented a "frequency-hopping" radio guidance system during World War II. This concept of rapidly shifting radio frequencies to prevent signal jamming laid the crucial mathematical and conceptual groundwork for modern spread-spectrum communications, which ultimately enabled wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Einstein wrote a letter to FDR  saying ,  Hitler 's  army was going to develope an atomic bomb soon,  and America  needs to make one  first !........

The concept of Nuclear Fission (splitting of atoms) was discovered by Otto Hahn in Germany. Once that happened every scientist that understood physics realized that it could be used to create a weapon of incredible power. This caused Albert Einstein to write a letter to the American president saying that the Americans needed to invent this weapon before the Germans, in order to keep it out of Hitler's hands. That's why we started the Manhattan Project and why we invented the bomb.

I wished he'd do a part 2 just to show the most obvious ones such as the elevator, the 3 part traffic light, the automobiles mass production, Movies, Television, etc.

People used to get around in horse drawn carriages. It’s very different from the automobiles we use today.

You can presumably say that horse drawn carriages were a more “natural” form of transportation.
DOES THAT MAKE IT BETTER ?!?

As far as carrots go, there is no difference in nutritional value between an older domesticated one vs a genetically modified one.

Older domesticated carrots were barely fit for human consumption and mainly used to feed livestock.

Thanks genetically modified food, a larger amount can be produced, able to feed more humans, and yes, make the world a better place.

William Shockley is also responsible for the Shockley diode, which is another indispensable electronic component.

. . . . add Tampons to the list of life-changing US inventions (can I get a Hallelujah and Amen for mass production of tampons 🙌 😊)

During WW2 five countries were trying to develope nuclear weapons. The U.S., the USSR,Germany, Japan and the UK. We just happen to do it first. Like the man said, you can argue all day about whether we should have used it, but it ended up saving hundred of thousand of lives by using it. He also mentioned the US could have obliterated any other nation but did not. We could have wipe out the USSR if we wanted. Instead we helped rebuild Japan, France and Germany. Pretty good of us, if you ask me !

He could have gone on for an hour covering all the inventions of the founding fathers (Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, particularly) and another hour on Thomas Edison alone.

Even Putin made the comment in an interview about what he thought was America's strength.  He called the US "great innovators".  Einstein and a group of scientists realized the implications of nuclear fission and reported to Roosevelt.  Once the scientists knew about the danger, it was just a matter of time before a nation figured it out.  If the Germans had figured it out first, we might be speaking German.

The Tesla - Westinghouse story is a good one. Tesla, in fact, invented alternating circuit. He was competing against Edison who wanted to use direct current. Westinghouse gets credit on the alternating current because he was funding Tesla. He was funding Tesla right up to the point that he said, "We'lll just get our elctricity from the air." To which Westinghouse asked, "How would we meter that?" Tesla replied, "What do you mean? It would be free...?"

The United States developed the first nuclear weapon during World War II through the Manhattan Project, but the theoretical concept of a nuclear chain reaction was first conceived in Great Britain and Hungary.

Heinz beans 😂😂😂

The movie is “Oppenheimer”
