She agrees to accept her pay as a gift so she doesn't have to pay taxes. Monsoon pays the taxes on his end and sends her 13,000 dollars which were 9,999 for her. She is happy. Later realizes she can't accept as a gift because she needs to show it as income to apply for her partner's visa. So she applies it as income and will now have to pay taxes on the 9,999. She thinks she is entitled to the money she would get taxed on as well. Ungrateful as fuck.

hals brain is so fried lmaoo

NO WAY!!! Teaming up with a mentally ill person ended up in them acting mentally ill? That’s crazy!

Mon confirmed good guy, sorry you have to explain yourself

Mon and blink dont deserve this nonsense but fun is really just the best guy in apex im not sure if mon meant fun paid for his and blinks taxes or for the morons taxes but for him to come out of pocket at all is insanely thoughtful

Correction: apparently he really just gave the moron 20k. All respect to them but the moron deserves nothing more than what the moron got

I like how Hal is watching with his team lol aka Team Falcons is having an apex drama watch party 🤣🤣

18:02 lmao how fried is this goof

There is a reason nobody hired her after LAN as a coach. EVERY pro player knows she did nothing.

He should’ve paid her the full 20K and pay taxes on 180K instead of 200K

She destroyed her career because of her attitude.

18:50 what would hal do without walter

hal's explanation was funny af 😂

Monsoon: "She literally didn't do a single thing for us at all ever." Also Monsoon: "You did incredible work, and you are valuable, and u do deserve a spot on a team somewhere." While Hal chuckles😂

I honestly think this was just a misunderstanding because there was never a written agreement saying whether Ruby got 10% of the gross winnings or 10% after taxes.

Monsoon said he made over $200k that year and was paying around a 42% combined tax rate. So the $200k prize wasn’t actually $200k in his pocket. Based on his understanding, Ruby’s 10% came out to around $13k after accounting for the taxes he had to pay.

The money was also sent as a gift instead of documented income, which later became an issue when Ruby needed to show income for her girlfriend’s UK visa.

Personally, I don’t think Monsoon is necessarily wrong here. Without anything in writing, it sounds like everyone just had different expectations about what “10%” meant.

w mon as always. L t

I mean he paid what he needed to pay it would have been 20k for her before taxes she got 13k tax free, also the coach being useless warrants Mons decision to not go out of his way to pay the full amount with taxes which wouldve been 27k. this is what financial illiteracy and a fried online brain brings you

“Hal watches”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 title is so cringe

Tbf it would be been better to send her full amount legitimately and she only pays 20% or 40% depending on her other earnings.  Mad how you pay so much in the US, yet get so little back. Can't understand how a multi millionaire (hal) is struggling to understand basic finances. 😂😂

I'm confuse, is he a man/gay and trans to a woman but also a lesbian thats why he/she has a girlfriend?

verbal argeements are binding bud
