Hii
Major life update!
I used to listen to this story when I was in 9th grade. This channel barely had any subscribers, and I wouldn't shut up about it.
Now I'm a mother of a very beautiful 5 months old, and this channel is still my go to when I need to wind down.

65 sounds so young. My dad is 65 not ready to lose him anytime soon 😢

The OP's dad (and his buddies) in the first story is absolutely goated.

joel, i don't comment often but i've been watching since i was in freshman year sitting in a class on a school computer doing all my work for the day with you playing in the background. you helped me get through school all those years, go to sleep all these years. and now im 23 and own my own business. not making major money, but will do well for myself soon. thank you for the impact you've had on my life. ❤ keep up the great work

I found this channel in 2016. Letsread (and other horror story channels) made fighting cancer easier. Still listening to this 10 years later!

Pausing at Bob to comment.

These are helluva stories! They shine light on the dark underbelly of human behavior when conventional laws and justice will not compensate the crime.
. . . Also, the equivocal and ofttimes tragic consequences of such civil justice, delivered by the unparalleled excellence of Joel's narrative mastery!
