According to most western governments, Iraq is classified as RED meaning "Avoid All Travel". But this never stopped me before so I book a flight from Canada to Basra in the South of Iraq to go see it for myself.
Everything I have been feed all my life about Iraq involves war and destruction but this is not what I found upon arrival in this country of the Middle East. From the incredibly welcoming Iraqi people to staying in a nice hotel, walking the streets of Basrah, eating the street food and learning more about its history I can tell you that my idea of the country changed within one single day.
