I lost my dad 2 days ago after 3 weeks in hospital. The whole april i thought about this song and i wished someone can wake me up when april ends... Im glad i was able to see him before he died, ill never forget his smile after he saw me after 10 years and when he said to a nurse "thats my son". I hope he can rest now in peace. 💔
this wasnt actually performed by Green Day, it was an acapella version mixed with an instrumental from youtube. (that is basically what the description says)
Summer has come and passed The innocent can never last Wake me up when September ends Like my fathers come to pass Seven years has gone so fast Wake me up when September ends Here comes the rain again Falling from the stars Drenched in my pain again Becoming who we are As my memory rests But never forgets what I lost Wake me up when September ends Summer has come and passed The innocent can never last Wake me up when September ends Ring out the bells again Like we did when spring began Wake me up when September ends Here comes the rain again Falling from the stars Drenched in my pain again Becoming who we are As my memory rests But never forgets what I lost Wake me up when September ends Summer has come and passed The innocent can never last Wake me up when September ends Like my father's come to pass Twenty years has gone so fast Wake me up when September ends Wake me up when September ends Wake me up when September ends Source: LyricFind
