Mick; God bless you for taking these adventures. I’m 80 and my wife and I are moving to Lithuania from America. We’ve never been there, but my ancestors are from Lithuania. We’ll miss a lot, but hope for an interesting life in the EU shile we can still get around. I had prostate cancer in 2000. I asked for a PSA test back then, otherwise I would be here. So many of my friends have been treated for it. All are alive decades later. Every man should get tested by 45. 50 could be too late. Good luck either way your travel and your health.

I am Lithuanian, living in Melbourne Australia. I often make lithuanian dishes for my family and friends. Have been to Lietuva twice in the last 3 years. Can honestly say, have never tried beef tongue. There are so many more popular dishes to try.

You should try Cepelinai, as well as Gira, a Lithuanian drink that can be found in any store. Have fun!

You can also deduct like 2o percent from prices you have paid in shop, because in shops a bit away from city center you would get more regular prices .... On other topic: kudos to the guy who give you tip about the pin, though you probably would not have gotten a fine for it, but if locals have noticed it your experience here in Vilnius might have been different ...
