Love the Resistance series. They had the balls to do something rarely seen in gaming with Resistance 2's ending. So awesome and memorable.

My first ever PS3 game, almost 20 years ago now. That makes me feel very old.

Recently while looking for ps3 split screen games I found this trilogy and loved it

It's basically Medal Of Honor with aliens. Great series.

Resistance: Fall of Man, Killzone, Fallout 3 and Resident Evil 4 are some of my favourite game's, graphics quite dull but it's about the gameplay for me

Every few months I think back to this series, how nostalgic it makes me feel. It’s such an interesting and lore rich trilogy, fleshed out with genuinely interesting characters - really gave that brutal all out warfare fight for humanity’s survival feel - I had a similar feeling playing the start of Gears of war E day. The shock feeling as the world is invaded by an unknown force. It’s not a new concept but damn did resistance REALLT nail the feel.

add more gain to the audio for future instances but this ones a good video essay :glasses-purple-yellow-diamond: man i used to see ads for this along with fahrenheit for the ps1

Like someone else said already “keep em coming!” 🙏 i too am a but nostalgic for the ps3 era games (especially now when i’m replaying RDR1 on Switch) and Resistance series is sure one of those shooters i miss (and enjoyed) dearly. Good job on bringing that back!

Loved the series: always hoped to see it come back

One of the best ps3 fps offered.

played all this games CO-OP back in the day with my father, this was an absolute horror game and it was insaly difficult. So much good memories absoluty loved playing thrue this.

The problem is Resistance didn't have that oomph that set it apart from Gears of War, a game it was constantly compared to at the time.  Right down to the art direction, it looks like an FPS spinoff of Gears and not its own thing.   And I say this as someone who likes both. It had a "Gears at home in first person" vibe on the playground.

REUPLOAD NOTE: Howdy folks. This will be the last reupload until after I upload a brand new video; which should be Costume Quest on 10/07. For the uninitiated, I finally figured out how to work properly with audacity so I'm reuploading my older videos with the fixed audio. I still have some of those old videos with bad audio up so if you're curious to hear just how bad the audio used to be, go check out my oldest videos! It's pretty bad. But anyways, this video essay is the second one I ever did. It's probably one of the ones I'm most proud of because I did quite a bit of research for it. I tried to sprinkle in some of Insomniac's history alongside the development of the game to try to make the video more engaging and informative. Let me know what you guys think!

I really like this game, but the enemies felt very spongy most of the time, and ammo for some weapons were so rare, that I barely used them, like the Hailstorm or the Rossmore Shotgun.

I was black when this game came out

The graphics on this game blew me away the first time I played it back in the day

this game i think had a revolver with remote detonation rounds i thought it was so cool

Keep em coming brotha!!

1 was great, leads to 2 which just opened tons of questions that were pretty much all dismissed by a weak conclusion in 3.

great video
