Before applying any reversed text or design, hold it up and read it in a mirror. This will quickly reveal if any letters are reversed and if everything lines up correctly. Thanks for the video.

I have used the Avery label carrier paper to print in color on an ink jet printer. The ink doesn’t dry, so the label carrier paper can be dropped directly on the wood. It works great if color is necessary. Simply find the artwork you want to transfer, flip the image to make a mirrored version, then print on the Avery label carrier sheet. The ink is still wet, so be careful as you position it on the wood, then set it straight down and gently press straight down to transfer the ink.

I learned a lot during the last 10 minutes. The stain trick with the dollar store acrylic paint is just a brilliant as using the polyacrylic. What caught my eye and made me decide to watch this video was I have have that exact same can at home. Now I've got to pull it toff the shelf and see if it's still good. It's been there awhile. Your project turned out beautiful. Well done!

That’s beautiful. I really like how you created your own stain. There’s no reason to spend a lot of money on stain. Fun method too.

Neat project! A wire wheel or wire cup on an angle grinder will remove some the softer wood but leave the harder grain, giving you a really cool "weathered" look to your lumber!

3:30 This ended up looking good but use a length of chain, just whack it with a chain or something tied to the end of a rope. It'll help add a more random look than 2-3 implements, half circles, pliar jaws etc repeating. Different chains can be sued too, thin small chains, heavier chains etc (and the more you beat on the chain the more each link takes on its own wear and adds to the random wear that's beaten into your wood or other things. This works on fabric too.)
