I might have left things a tad on the late side this season… 😅 but better late than never!

After returning from holiday, I spotted an opportunity to get out on the River Ayr, with the conditions looking pretty good and the water running at a great height. 🌊🎣

With everything lining up nicely, I grabbed the gear and headed down to the river to make the most of the conditions. There’s always something special about getting back on the water after being away — and this trip turned out to be well worth it! 🙌

After a bit of time putting in the effort, I finally landed my first salmon of the 2026 season! 🐟🔥

A brilliant fish, a beautiful river, and a great way to finally get one in the net.

Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy the video! 👍

🎣 Tight lines and see you on the river!
