What happens when a bunch of true musicians get together and mutually decide to forget the rules....excellent...

I come back to this video every now and again, instant mood boost every time

What makes Bill special, apart from his talent, is his total lack of ego. It doesn't matter who looks good or who gets the accolades  just so long as we and the audience enjoy our show.

Surely one of the most joyous musical recordings you will ever see!  Never get tired of seeing and listening to this.  Bravo to all the musicians involved.

I absolutely hate how perfect this sounds.

"Paddle faster! I hear sitars!"

A delight to the ears!  I don't know why it made me think of this, but Bill Bailey is one person I wish had guested on The Muppet Show.

Bill Bailey is just wonderful, one of my absolute favorites! He makes me laugh myself silly, he can play almost any musical instrument, he's an animal lover, and he seems like a genuinely good bloke. What an unbeatable combination!

Bill Baily needs to be president of the world...brings people together with music and laughter!!!

14 years have passed before I discovered this fantastic performance. Yes, we all love Bill Bailey, but nobody, just nobody has been able to name the sitar player. Which breaks my heart. He deserves a mention at least!

2:52
in true Bill Bailey style, he incorporates the theme to Eastenders into a sitar duel
A great man of our time, he is

A musician is a musician, no matter where they're from

I love all of Bill's work, but  Duelling Sitars is something special. Love it

Bill Bailey at his best, both musically and being a general all round good bloke. Tremendous.

Wow!!
Just came across this on my stream.
Bill Bailey is even more talented as a musician than as a comedian, and that’s saying a lot.
Soumik Datta is a sitar virtuoso with a million dollar smile.
And the look of happiness & joy on the faces of all the performers involved….
Priceless….

The sheer joy on the sitar player's face!

If this isn’t a representation of everything great about modern Britain then I don’t know what is!

Anyone who doesn't love Bill Bailey should be locked up for their own protection.

Look at all you beautifully talented people. What an awesome performance!

I've seen this many times and it never fails to put a grin on my face.

Proof that music has no borders and can unite people from  all around the globe as once. Well done! We need that even more in 2021!
