I won't forgive them for not only destroying Hal, but John and even Guy as well. It lacks not only the constructs but Green. John is an insufferable self-centered a-hole who literally walked by and ignored when people needed saving for his own personal gain. He is a villain.

I stand on this: 2011 Green Lantern is a better adaptation than Lanterns.

I keep coming back to the same question for anyone glazing this show:

1. How would you feel if they subverted Batman or Spiderman like they did the Green Lanterns in this show?

Meaning, if they gave you a Batman show in which he's just doing detective work without wearing the cowl, or a Spiderman movie in which Peter's more of a nihilistic anti-hero.

I can’t help, but wonder why wasn’t there more Manhunter human hybrids? Like why was there only one, we’re never given a clear understanding of what Zoe’s motivations were, but if her programming is to establish herself and make more Manhunters, why weren’t there more Manhunters? I think what’s the most frustrating thing with this show for me is that I could see where a half decent writer could’ve taken all of this stuff and actually made something really interesting, and probably could’ve given us superhero action and science fiction.

This whole show was a way to preach to us how we she think and feel. They always use what we like to do it. They blew the chance to make one of the greatest superhero shows.

Hal did his job as a green lantern and they put him in prison for 10 years, that sheriff and those idiots in that town who cover up for the hostile alien no consequences for them, then the sheriff kill Hal later still no consequences for her, and John is a jealous, entitle villain who cover up murder, and no consequences for him either. This show is trash and woke as hell.

Honestly, I think all of the character concepts that they wanted to showcase on a tight budget like this could’ve been explored with entirely different characters. Imagine if Hal and Jon were replaced with the Question and Martian Manhunter in their pursuit to expose the White Martians, colonizing alien warlords who pushed the green martians to extinction. Most of these plot points could be explored far more respectively and properly without having to write them out of character to push their message. Green Lantern is not the IP to really delve into the racial earth dynamics, grounded buddy cop type narrative they wanted to do.
