The Canadian train is an experience. I have done it twice once in the summer and once in the winter. Canada looks so great in all seasons .

Took this once in 1995 with my parents and then twice in 2023 by myself. I hope to do it again in 2028 for VIA Rail’s 50th anniversary! 🎉

Love the Canadian , and travelled from Toronto to Jasper in 2015. Best train trip I've ever done and will come back to do it again in a few years. Such a great journey with spectacular scenery.

We immigrated to Canada, with our ship arriving in Halifax Feb 11, 1961. Then it was the train all the way to Vancouver. Coast to coast. What a trip. What memories.

This is one of the most comprehensive and informative videos I have seen about the Canadian. Very interesting and the information flowed smoothly. I have seen 2 technical issues. The graphical representation of how the wheels ride on the rails is completely incorrect. The other is about how the brakes work. The air pressure actually releases the brakes during normal operation. It's a bit too complicated to explain here since it takes stored air to apply brakes and even more air to release them. Overall, this was a very enjoyable video and definitely not a waste of time.

i was on this Toronto to Vancouver with my sister and dad in 2001 and 12/1 this year, I am planning on Vancouver to Toronto. I am so excited and love this video about the complexity of running this train.
