This video contains gameplay from The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom for the Nintendo Switch in HD. Today I live commentate while attempting to collect EVERY Lightroot in TotK! In the depths, there are 120 Lightroots that light up the area and unlock your depths map. You also get a reward for collecting them all but I've heard it is not very good and not worth it. I even had people tell me NOT to get every Lightroot because it's a waste of time. But is it? Today we find out by getting all the Lightroots and seeing what that reward is! From flying around with the hoverbike, finding hidden chasms, locating Master Kohga, and completing labyrinths, these are some of the best and funniest moments I had exploring the depths in Tears of the Kingdom. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for watching! If you enjoyed, consider liking the video :_MNGLove: At least the reward wasn't korok poop this time

I had fun flying to all the lightroots! It’s about the journey, not the destination 😂

Finding all the caves is way worse, finding lightroots was actually fun imo but if you find 119 and can't see the dark area on the map it's actual emotional damage

I found it useful because you can find all of the shrines a whole lot faster.

0:10 I don’t care the reward of having a full map is good enough for me.

The point of the light roots is to find the surface level shrines easier. Each light root is easier to find and has a corresponding shrine above it. All of the 'I got all <x> task' rewards kinda suck.

@Karuminu2 2 years ago

I did it so I wouldn't be stumbling around in darkness everywhere.

I loved doing the lightroots so damn much. Except for like four of them. I had to look up how to do the one just east of the castle. That's it xD

Finding all the wells gives you... a bad dad joke/pun.😂

If you want to hunt lynels here’s a tip all lynels are under stables btw Tabatha bridge stable doesn’t count or the mini stables

I hadn't played a Zelda game since Windwaker and I had a ton of fun finding all the light roots and filling out the map, that was like 2 days "working from home" and just exploring the world

Good, now I don't have to waste my time.
Oh, who am I kidding? I got Kilton's medals in BotW. I'm gonna have that carved on my tombstone.

The REAL reward is the experience

@curioshittii 2 years ago

I'd say this is still way more better than collecting all Korok seeds lol.

The best thing is knowing where all the shrines are because every lightroot is under a shrine, and the name of the light root is the name of the shrine reversed

@blackbomber72 2 years ago

As far as i understand its actually the opposite the shrines collect light and spread it to the depths

The depths labyrinths aren't so much labyrinths as they are just, get to the lower floor and fight the flux construct. Then when it's gone there's one final hand ring thingy that'll reveal your reward.

After the boss is gone the doors will open to get outside the labyrinth, and that's how you're supposed to get that lightroot.

Colgera is not an ice monster:
Colgera ice a crystalline monster with air powers...so it's, basically, fueling the flames of the lava, making it even more treacherous.
