We take a closer look at this 996 Turbo, walk around the car and talk through what makes these cars so special — before getting behind the wheel for a drive.
The 996 Turbo has always been one of those cars that offers serious performance for the money… but are they still the Porsche bargain they once were?

Great cars where you get a lot of car for the money. I owned a 996 GT3 CS with the bucket seats and a roll cage which was by far the best car I've owned. It was great as a weekend and track day car, but maybe a bit hardcore for everyday use which is where the 996 Turbo excels. They're quick in stock form but if you want more power they can be tuned for 500 bhp+ fairly easily and for not a huge amount of money.

The current Porsche hype bubble reminds me of Bitcoin and alt coins. Hype the future so folk buy in, decreasing the supply, then the whales drop out at the top making a ton of money.
