"His remains, tainted by toxicity, rest in a drum." really hit hard. I dont know why, but the concept of your corpse being too dangerous to even be buried is just...depressing and terrifying

@N0rbertas9 3 years ago

my worst fear is dying in a mysterious way, a popular youtuber making a video about my case and that video being sponsored by raid shadow legends

Wow, Casteel’s wife barging into his mistresses house and starting an argument right at the time the sting operation was happening actually indirectly sealed his fate.

Robert was a great host. Acted like he stepped out of the alley to offer you a PI job. I'm glad the show did some justice for some.

Kathy's story is so heartbreaking. Poor sweet girl. Imagine spending your whole life being afraid of dying young, and then finally feeling safe and like the danger was over, only to end up assaulted and murdered in the most terrifying way.

I feel so sorry for the family who can't even bury that poor mans radioactive remains.

That theme song alone is enough to give us kids who grew up in the 80s and early 90s nightmares

Harry Easterling from the Boiling Point (Dave Bocks) segment died in 2021 from Kidney failure brought on by his time working at NLO Feed Materials Plant. I have to wonder how many other have died because of that place. My guess is A LOT.

Every time I hear Kathy’s story, it gives me chills and an eerie feeling. No horror movie comes close to being as scary as true stories.

Bocks story has always unnerved me. I’ve been hoping over the years for some form of an update. It’s truly a gut churning idea to be silenced for attempting to do the right thing. And the idea he was alive when he was dumped into the furnace. It gives me chills.

Kathy's case made me not want to leave the house for awhile. I actually did used to live near a corner store in a sketchy neighborhood but for some reason after seeing this case, it got me more spooked for awhile 😅

@Pandidolod 3 years ago

You always do cases that haven't been done to death already by other YouTubers. That's one of the best things a viewer can ask for!

I grew up in the Signal Mountain area around when the story was happening. There were always rumors that Casteel was involved in some other illegal activity (IE manufacturing of narcotics). And that was the reason he never wanted anyone around what he considered his property. It was thought in some circles that he murdered these people because of what they may have witnessed taking place, instead of him just being over bearing of his "property."

Kathy’s story is so awful 😞 she was so happy when she was still alive for her 16th birthday.

This is why real life scares me more than horror movies like Saw. These real-life psychos are more scary than anything you'll find in fiction.

Stack's voice and look worked so well on that show. Even its main theme made me feel there were mysteries that just arent solved.

@brittanyloggins6514 3 years ago

Unsolved mysteries was my favorite show as a child. The Dave Bocks case always haunted me. I hope that he was already gone before he was placed in the furnace. That would be a horrific way to go.

You guys enjoyed this so much last time that I thought I'd turn it into a mini-series! If there are any other segments from Unsolved Mysteries you'd like me to revisit in a future episode, reply to this comment :_LazyChomp:

For the third volume you need to include the one about the two boys whose bodies were found on a train track in Arkansas. That segment still haunts a lot of people.
