You know Beatrix Potter as the creator of Peter Rabbit—but that’s only part of her story.

Before she became one of the best-selling children’s authors of all time, Potter was a gifted naturalist who produced groundbreaking illustrations of fungi, insects, and animals. She was also a conservationist who helped protect over 4,000 acres of the English countryside and played a vital role in preserving the Lake District.

This video explores the remarkable, lesser-known life of Beatrix Potter—artist, scientist, farmer, and trailblazer—who defied expectations in Victorian England to leave behind a legacy that shaped literature, land conservation, and generations of readers.
