CYF was visibly very tired in the third set but mentally she was a monster. Very focused, calm and determined even when she was losing points. That's what olympic champions are made of.

Chen Yu Fei has less experience, but she is so calm on the match, I love her so much!

ChenYufei: "I will restart from Zero again while stepping down from the podium". This make us respect for her! This is what she said and yet she completed in the final olympic game at the moment. She said that she will forget all the honor and glory she has just won, and try her best in the next goal. A great player, a truly sportsman!!! She deserve an olympic gold metal and world champion title!

I am from Taiwan and I am proud that we have a player like TTY.
This is definitely the best badminton final out of all five from this Olympic Games.
The game really could have gone either way.
Chen Yufei executed her game plan extremely well, and it paid off in the end.
Congratulations to Chen Yufei.

TTY gave it all till the end like a champ. I thought it was all over when the third game was at 11-6, but she fought back to 21-18 and was agonizingly close. This match was such a roller coaster of emotions to watch as a Taiwanese and loved it despite the result. Congrats to Yu Fei who ultimately was the better player in this match!

Decades later when we look back, this generation of women's single players has to be the classical period, while every one of them in the top 10 is worth winning a gold medal.

I thought Yufei would lose in the third set after losing in the 2nd, but she maintained her calmness and was never seen nervous. Very amazing! And also me and my mom laughed when we saw Yufei's celebration 😂😅🔥👍 she just kissed the court loll
