Congrats on your wedding! Right now you have time to explore the vastness that wargaming has to offer - but i have found that, once children enter the picture (if you and yours decide to have kids), you lose so much time and have to focus on one or two wargames so as to actually get anything done haha.

big congrats man! im really glad you enjoy yourself!

Yes, the burn out is real. Jerry, some friends and I use to Play Warhammer Fantasy Quest. Some of the most fun Ive ever had playing a miniature game. Might also have a sculpt I want you to do for me. Can't wait for Spook-tober

Hey, congrats on the wedding!

Regarding 6th ed’s Skirmish module, I have been slowly dragging my group back into Old World via Battle March and I have been wondering about a Skirmish conversion for Old World that could further lower the entry point to the game on one hand and provide a missing link in the ruleset to recreate those chain-of-events campaigns that Skirmish allowed for: from poisoning wells and killing guard captains as Skavens to full-on invasion of a city with battles on street corners and barricades like in Skavenslayer (btw there’s a PDF out there with all the Skirmish scenarios in one place and I was gobsmacked to see multiple such campaigns).

My gaming group spent ages looking for a more simpler system but still wanted to have the battle style feel of game
Then we found dragon rampant , yeah it has a few problems but cos the rules are so simple it was easy to homebrew rules to get around them . Plus the big bonus for us was it miniature agnostic so your collection of old citadel miniatures would fit in perfect , ive been running both orc units from the regiments of reknown and they look amazing on the table again
You should give it ago .

congratulations super pics of the day.

Good to see you and Sam had such a wonderful day! And yes, it does seem to me there are so many games right now, it is hard to keep up with it all.

Welcome back! I was starting to miss your content :)

I love metal 🎉🎉🎉

More games is great. Don't forget your friends.

I agree, everything is moving too fast in wargaming.  It takes me a lot of effort to paint my mini's and there is a constant pressure in my local scene to be playing every league and tournament that comes up and have social games as well.  I can't keep up with that pace so miss out on a lot of things because it is all moving too to keep up.  I played a year of TOW and didn't paint a single miniature for my Bretonnians because it was either play or paint but not both.

Wargaming adopting CID has been detrimental to the entire hobby for over a decade now.
