If I may add: it’s not only about the performative side of what the viewer is meant to see, sense, or feel, but perhaps even more about what you, as the photographer and medium, sense and feel yourself.
When the expression is based solely on the viewer’s experience, it tends to lose authenticity 💙🕊️
