Should you buy a UV printer or a laser? I made the exact same "Hey Boo" Halloween sign three different ways so you can see the real difference: laser cut and hand painted on the xTool P3, UV printed only on the xTool Omni UV printer, and print-then-cut using BOTH machines together in xTool Studio multi-device mode. One of these took 16 cents of ink. One of these was still drying when the other two were done.
By the end you'll know whether you need just the UV printer, just the laser, or both.
