The crew reconvenes after a week off (candle lit for Tim, per usual), and things kick off with a genuinely chaotic cold open — don't ask about the singed arm. From there: a "pets are good for kids" study with one very specific exception, Florida's decoy robot rabbits built to lure invasive pythons, and a Thanksgiving turkey sub from Firehouse Subs that charges extra for gravy.
Then there's a real crisis: what are these dog treats made of?! From there it's a lap through the news cycle — the Arch Manning sideline-reporter meme controversy, a suspiciously quiet hurricane season, President Trump's UN speech about rebranding "artificial intelligence," and JD Vance's now-infamous podium slip-up. There's also a birthday record, a movie-theater pepper spray incident, and some genuinely concerning teenage homework.
The bad preacher segment goes on a deep tangent about socks and shoelaces before the show turns to this week's passage — a Jon Tyson quote on what it actually means to be "in the world, but not of it," and why living out your faith shouldn't require being weird for weird's sake.

With that being said, I’ve seen a girl in the Birmingham area that frequents car shows with a pet kangaroo. I don’t know the legality of owning one as a pet but I’ve seen it on a few occasions. I imagine now it’s grown enough now where it can’t be taken into public as often.
