I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

Thank you for the video. I'm newly single after 19 years and I'm having to learn to do this now. I tried it once myself but every 3 minutes the string would break and I'd have to pull it out and pull the string more. Thank you!

This is the perfect video, not too much talking, not many instructions, not too fast, not too slow, not too long and I got it right the first time... nailed it!
Bravo....

Nice! One point to add, though: The spool is built for 3 or 4 levels of line, not just a single. If you overdo it, it won't feed -- just open back up, take off a foot or so, and go again. You'll be reloading a third of the time by using the entire spool capacity. Thumb's up on a great vid.

This was so much easier than asking my drunk neighbor! 🥴

SUGGESTION: Next video ... How to CLEAN your Black and Decker weed eater. Seriously, thank you. Great job.

Thank you so much for helping a single mom out!!

I could not get the string to advance . The spring was upside down and no where but your video showed the narrow part attached to the orange part. Finally forced it on so .... Thank you thank you. YEAH, IT WORKS !!

I was able to restring my reel with the help of this video.. no neighbor’s help was required thanks to this video!!!

What I like most about your video, is I was able to figure out what to to within 2 minutes. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this! This is my first time using a weed whacker and I had no idea where to even start! This video helped a ton!

Great way to show me first time, ever, cutting grass didn't know nothing about it, but I see it's not nothing to do. Thanks a lot keep up the good work.

Game changer! I didn't realize that you only fill the spool to one layer and that the line should be side by side... I've been doing it wrong for YEARS and now I know why my line was not auto threading properly. (I was threading it until the entire spool was completely filled, and I also was not doing the line side by side... and I also didn't know there were arrows telling me the direction.) THANK YOU GEAR MO!!

Thank you for the info on the string reload ... It's simple information like that which make the job so much easier and if you do it wrong and don't know why, the job becomes very frustrating ...🙂

I use square 1.5mm line, it works very well and the autofeed extends the line. I am from South Africa.

Hey thanks so much, I've been cutting lawns all my life but my brother and my dad always did sides from some strange reasons and now I have a lot of my own, I basically learn how to use a weed wacker and learning to fix it because of this video so thank you very much I do appreciate it

@BrendaD72 1 year ago

Thank you. I always use the prespooled ones, but the string itself is significantly cheaper. Got me up and going in seconds.

@olenaerhardt7725 1 year ago

@1:00 Thank you for that tip w/Gears sign on the bottom of the spool, really easy to remember and not to mix up. All other information was also very useful (how to feed the line, especially not to overlap, etc.). We have same Black Decker Trimmer GH900, but I didn't use it for a while, so needed to refresh how everything works. This video was very helpful for me. I also think GH900 is a model #, but not quite sure, need to google more on this. Thank you again.
