Thank you for your excellent, well presented videos, Steve. They are an inspirational to many of us who always wanted to get on Top Band! 73 from VA3DM

great material, Steve. As always! Some people call that VLB (Very Low Beverage) too
.

Great video, thanks. Greetings from Siberia. We also find bears near our radios😂

Thanks a bunch Steve for great documentation and share. These inspire a lot of us to try something new.

Excellent pair of videos, Steve! Always a great, educational watch! Can't wait for the next one. 73 VE3GKT

Excellent work!  I could only dream of having the ability to construct and perform these kinds of experiments in amateur radio!  Thank you for doing this, and for sharing your findings!  Your videos are also well presented and easy to follow.

Excellent. Glad to see your success. I have used quite a few BOGs since about 2011 when I moved away from my salt marsh location. (Beverages did not work at all over my salt marsh ground but everything else did!) My first one was 225 feet pointed NE and I expected to increase it a bit but it worked so well I left it. I also had one pointed West that was about 480 feet. The directivity was amazing when I switched between them. I also had a more conventional Beverage pointed South. I found even shorter BOGs worked reasonably well.  I currently have one about 200 feet long pointed West and another I roll out across the backyard pointed to Europe each winter. Like you I use short ground rods at both ends and about the same value terminating resistor. 73, de Don, N4DJ

Steve, thank you for your contribution to ham radio community worldwide! 73 Nick VK9DX Norfolk Island

Very impressive rx system,  professional grade

A very informative video Steve. I have been thing about BOG but had not thought about stapling it to small logs. I have a lot of trees down in my property and I do have Moose. Great ideas from you. Mike KL7QOW

Thanks Steve very good video as always.
Boy are you right on how much maintenance Beverages are ..and I have small ones.
I will probable give the BOG  another look...Thanks again great stuff..

I just placed an order with the pcb house in China. With shipping, 10 cca's was $25.

My intention is to install a couple 90ft BOG's for use on 40m. I will rescale the pre-amp components for 40m.

Thank you for sharing your design.

Nice B roll and green screen! :D

Very interesting! W2CSI

Tnx Steve... N8UX

That is a fantastic video with good knowledge you've shared.  THANK YOU.  I was especially impressed with the "NEC" results laid on top of the actual field measurements.  I really think your method of field measures are about as good as it gets.

Could this antenna work if placed along a barbed wire fence? Thank you, there are hundred meters of it nearby, I think I could make a stealth antenna...

I would be concerned with gain matching of multiple antennas  using a cap to set the gain.
