I love how "uncool" Roger and his jiujitsu are. Like watching your dad kicking someone's ass in blue jeans and a flannel. So much more secure and confident than kids today.

When the most dominant champ gets easily choked out you realize that Roger is simply in a different level.

Think about this...Roger submitted the most decorated BJJ artist in the world using, for the most part, basic white belt techniques executed with a PhD level of mastery that no one on earth can match.

Roger Gracie is the GOAT.

Quem tá aqui assistindo esse show novamente pela milésima vez, curte. Dois MONSTROS DO Jiu-Jistu.

When you come out of retirement and submit the best guy. You are the GOAT! MUCH RESPECT

anybody else cringe when all those shoes got on the mats at the end? lol

Roger has always been known to use just basic BJJ, none of that flashy moves. This goes to show you that with practice makes perfect, basic BJJ can dominate!

Just a blue belt here, but one of the reasons I love watching Roger compete so much is he's by and large using techniques I know. And he's beating the best in the world that way. It really makes me appreciate how much attention I should be paying to the details of the white belt techniques I know.

When I studied BJJ and heard about Rogers's world-class focus on fundamentals, it was mind-blowing to realize his power.

Roger is the king of fundamental jiu jitsu and he shows the world how effective just basic jiu jitsu is by submitting Marcus here.
I did a seminar with Roger here in Denver Colorado. He didn’t show anything we hadn’t seen before. But he did show little refinements that made it all much better. Amazing seminar.

I once read that when Masters fight, it's not like the movies. There's a lot of feeling out, a flurry of activity, and it's over. Reminds me of this fight exactly.

Notice Renzo went straight to check on Buchecha while his family was all celebrating? Pure class

Love how Renzo is the first guy to console Buchecha. Pure class he is.

Probably the best Jiujitsu match I’ve ever watched

The hand grip control he kept the entire time until he got to the back from the bottom sweep. That detail is incredible!

Rolling starts at 7:57

What is amazing to me is that all it takes is Roger to commit 1 single time, and when he decides to then you’re immediately in severe danger. He pulled guard 1 single time... and once he did it took less than 2 minutes for him to get the back and secure that choke. Think about that for a second
-He’s a blackbelt among the blackbelts

What an honor to witness the Gracie family. Many families nowadays don’t carry any kind of legacy due to the individual nature of modern society. The Gracie’s are jujitsu!
