War of Rights use CryEngine too. It supports 400 players on one server with realistic smoke effects and bullet drop, unit collision and for the most part good physics. But those flags are still janky sometimes. It does all of this, and did it some years ago too but then supporting 150 players instead of 400. Meanwhile EA and Activision is talking about 64 players being too much to handle.

I learned recently that a lot of devs for modern id Tech were (and still are, although most were recently fired by Microsoft) actually in a studio in Germany, and a lot of devs were former CryEngine developers... So the best modern engine in the industry right now is directly linked to Cryengine, that's crazy!

Years ago you could study game design in Cologne where they used primarily CryEngine. They advertised this on the Role Play Convention in the same city.
Side note: TESLA wasn't actually punished for creating A/C too early. But I get your point. Tesla could have been filthy rich. Though in fairness, he was "punished" by the pushback created by Edison who was invested in DC. Tesla had psychological issues so basically self destructed including not fulfilling his contract to build a radio tower for a ship magnate.
