Evil Cardboard can be the tribute band's name.

Two delightfully charming old rock and rollers.  Lovely guys, best wishes for a long life to you both - rock on!

“Evil Cardboard” ... love it! 😆
I have several of Humble Pie’s albums, sadly the wife just doesn’t understand

Great story.  No doubt, it is a very cool name.

..Humble Pie was an Auckland rock band in the 60s before Steve and company really  put the name out there. A good name's a good name. Rock on.

i saw them circa 1970 opening for the stars of Woodstock, Ten Years After. We were sitting about 50 ft  behind the stage at one end of the arena. We were smoking some high quality reefer and Jerry was still at the back of the stage before the show and i think he smelled it as he appeared to be  looking around to see where it was coming from. I didn't have the nerve then to go up to him but i think he would have smoked it gladly.

They didn't really explain the name. It's from the expression to "eat humble pie" which means "make a humble apology and accept humiliation."

I think I need to start a band so I can call it "Evil Cardboard"!

I can see it now!  Evil Cardboard Rockin the Fillmore Great stories thanks, been a big fan for 50 + years (that's scary)

Ambull Puoy - in Steve's words!

Live, tonight, Evil Cardboard!

How did AC/DC get named?  It's a chord progression.
