In my not very humble opinion, this is one of the top five live rock performances ever recorded. I've been listening to this for decades, and it still give me chills. The power of the guitars balanced against Terry's drumming. Never any better, anywhere.

My brother was a guitarist. He insisted to the day he passed that Mark was doing things in this performance that were not physically possible.

Few songs make take notice of the drummer, which shows you how amazing this performance is.

Mark Knopfler = Genius. Great band. Great lyrics. Great music. Underrated.

How Mark finger picked through whole concerts kills me. He is the greatest to me.

When the drummer went crazy you can see how Mark knopfler turned to the bassist and laughed in disbelief😂

I would rather be a Guitarist; however, this Drummer just rendered one of the Greatest performances EVER!!!

Terry Williams was killing it that night!

Best live performance by a band ever.

Something special was recorded on that stage that night. Great reaction.

When you paused it around 3.30 mins because you were enjoying the guitar couldn't help but think he's going to lose his mind when the guitar solo at the end kicks in . . . . . .

When you watch a performance like this they should warn you to remember to breathe!!!

Mark took us up..brought us down gently..then dragged us over the edge!,!
And the drummer never left our sides!! I am still vibrating. Love, love love it!
Peace and love

It's possibly the greatest live performance of all-time!! The drummer is amazing, and the lead singer, Mark Knopfler, is one of the top 5 greatest guitarists of all-time!! It's the shortest 10 minutes you'll ever experience in your life!

Telegraph Road is an epic song of theirs to check out.

Now you know why your parents' generation loves rock and roll and can't stand what's currently on the radio. One is MUSIC and the other AIN'T! 😎😍🤩

@tragicdeyz2641 6 years ago

This, this right here, is WHY you go to live shows. God I miss concerts.

And despite all his incredible abilitites, Mark Knopfler is humble though...he himself doesn't think at all like he was the greatest or anything near. But he's definitely got great skills, a unique technique and a unique style! One of the really outstanding of the 80s!

Drummer is Terry Williams, one of the most underrated drummers ever. There's a moment in the video where Mark Knopfler starts laughing at Terry's skills (just as paused to talk about drummers)
