I had someone like Big. I finally came to my senses and left him. It was the best thing I ever did, I know my worth and I’ll make sure the man i marry someday knows it too.
My God he really didn't like her at all did he. How on earth did the fans think it was a good idea for them to end up together? Imagine how crushed carrie must have felt after this. All he probably felt was relief
I never looked at the 2 of them and went ohhh how romantic everrrr. They were 2 adults who were supposedly worldly and sophisticated and experienced but their r/s seemed dysfunctional, a living breathing wreck. I felt there was no purity in the feelings they had for each other. It was just sex, fine dining, the occasional sleepover at each other's homes and a whole plethora of conflicts because of being on different pages. The only r/s in the 6 seasons I felt envious of was the one of Charlotte and Harry. The way she told him I dont care if you ever marry me I just wanna be with you and then he knelt to propose. That beats Carrie's moments with Big in expensive dresses inside expensive restaurants any day.
When Carrie says that Big can't factor her into his life in any real way, it is such good acting! I really felt SJP's pain and frustration at the whole situation.
When he said “we’ll figure it out when I get back” is another example of him just stringing her along. He had no intention of working something out together to. And then says “wtf” and gaslit her when she was upset. Creep.
