I don;t know how Harley Benton keeps pumping out consistently good sounding inexpensive basses, that bass sounds great; I would gig with that any day.

This one sounds way better than the Rogue.  Harley Benton seems to do this ultra-cheapos better than anyone else.

You really need some flatwounds on it for that true Beatle sound. I bought mine with Pyramids, sounds great. Very pleased with it for the price.

I wish I had seen this video before I ordered my Fret Wire kit of this bass.

Anyone considering a hollow body make sure to get the special low tension strings.  Back in the day I had a hollow body violin bass.  The best I could figure is that it was a "Gould" (not Guild) based on headstock shape.  The logo had fallen off before I bought it.  I was helping a friend clear out his storage unit and this guy clearing his out at the same time.  I started talking to him about the bass.  It didn't have a case but was in incredible shape for it's age.  The guy said he just has it in storage so he never plays it and said he'd like it to go to someone who would play it.  I only had $10 on me at the time and the guy said that will do.  It was a really fun bass.  It had an f-hole so when I took it to practice that night she was feeding back like crazy no matter how I stood with it.  So it was a great bass to play acoustically.  As I mentioned the low tension strings, after many years of having regular tension strings the body warped.  It was fixable but would have taken a bit of work.  I was planning to fix it eventually, but lost it in a move.  The neck on it was very huge, but it was oddly a very easy playing bass, probably due to having big hands.  I'd like to get another some day and this HB might fit the bill!  Great vid, man!

Sounds good to me.  Been looking to snag a beatles type bass on the cheap to see if i dig it.  I know i will dig the sound but not sure about the short scale and small body... think i might try a thomann just to see.  Great demo
