So hot and miserable i forgot to give you a compliment!!! Your head is perfectly proportioned to your body 😃

As a mother of four -- if someone offered to pay for lessons AND even drive my child for a YEAR, I would literally cry. How incredibly lucky they are to have someone love their child so much! I am blown away by the ungratefulness. Wild!

6:56 I feel like the friend in the first story is the kind of person that would have also blown up at the OP for making “too big of a deal” if the OP had called the police or security. There was no winning in that situation.

1:34 Once you leave a concert you typically can’t come back in the venue too, so the friend literally abandoned them for a strange dude. They waited a long time and the friend wouldn’t answer, and they’re legally adults, though it’s still worrying. Poster is NTA.

5:30 Kris just randomly dropping lore about almost being kidnapped is CRAZY girl we need the full story!!

The piano story made me so mad that I read it to my parents. They were shocked by the SIL's audacity and agreed that OP did a really nice thing.

Private piano lessons at a conservatory for a child who expressed interest is a top-tier 'I love this child' gift. His well-being and education will be forever changed by his aunt or uncle's intentionality: transportation, tuition costs, and time spent with their nephew. Bravo to that person, I love that.

20:25 it was salvageable until OP said she lied to her sister

KRISSS!!! I SURVIVED MY FIRST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL!!

As the "mother" friend, believe me, even if you drag your wandering friends away, unless you tie them down, there's only so much you can do to make sure they get home safe. Me and my best friend were always the ones stopping our friends from going off with random guys, watching their drinks when they disappeared to the bathroom/outside for a smoke, getting them water when they seemed too drunk to function and calling/putting them in taxis home. We were always the last ones to leave a night out after everyone else was safely en route home and we had to wait for the "I'm home safe" texts that sometimes didnt arrive until the morning. You can be the "girl's girl"/"mature paternal" friend all you want but some point, (unless, god forbid, someone drugs your friend) you have to tell your friends "I'm not babysitting/enabling your poor decisions anymore, grow up and act like a responsible adult" or you'll always be the "rescue friend" who has to potentially put themselves in danger to save your friend from their poor decisions. It's like being a parent to a person you didnt concieve, and your friends shouldnt put that responsibility on you, especially if they dont do the same for you

Story 1: OP was the younger female 😢 she was put in the more dangerous situation being left alone. I would have immediately been very scared realizing the concert was going to be over and my friend was MIA... So unfair.

KRIS you are the human equivalent of finding a handful of extra fries at the bottom of your fast-food bag.
I just thought you should know.

The secret keeper sister absolutely has to tell her sister before the party - what part of Teresa's history makes her believe that she won't ruin the reveal or make it all about how SHE helped and KNEW.  The fact that this happened and she STILL thinks that the party will be 'drama free' girl please

Kris, would you start leaving links to the stories you read in the description? That way if there is ever a story we want to keep our eyes on, for example, one that hasn't been updated when you read it here, we can!

1:58 Literally, when I was 16, I took my friend to a concert in Houston. A quarter of the way through, she walked off to go to the bathroom, and for the rest of the show, she did not come back. I tried to stay in one place so that she would know where I was. Show ended, the venue started clearing out, and I walked around, looking for her. We were wearing matching shirts that we had made for this concert, so I was asking people if they had seen a girl in a shirt that matched mine. This older than I was guy, maybe late 20's, early 30's rushed over to me and started telling me that he saw her and to follow him. He walked to an exit on the side of a bar and said, "She's right out this door, come on!" My mama didn't raise a fool, so I definitely did not follow this guy, however he started following me around and trying to lure me off until I told him to eff-off and got loud. I luckily found a person who knew my mom at the venue, and together we looked around for my friend. She was in the front of the venue talking with people that she just so happened to run into from our school. She said she spent the concert with them... instead of coming back to where I was. Luckily I had enough STREET SMARTS to avoid what could have been a very bad situation.

As a piano teacher, my eyes actually welled up with tears hearing this gal’s gift to her nephew. I’m stunned. Perhaps biased, but stunned.

Story one, I had a multi year friendship end over something like that when I was younger. She’s not a friend, she was being selfish, poster is better off.

EDIT: Everyone I said Could and Should based on the comments in the post since that was commented often. Personally, I would have left the friend too. So me saying While I Understand that more could have been done by OP, that was no me saying that OP didn't do enough. My apologies for not explaining well enough.

First story: While I understand that OP could and should have done more to secure the safety of her friend, I also feel like no one is pointing out that OP is alone on their own, which is also unsafe. Completely unfair that the friend left them, but I wouldn't have judged if OP left sooner for their own safety. Either way, both were in unsafe situations and OP is not the asshole for leaving when the friend wasn't even responding.

My family had a similar (kind of) fallout as the piano lesson story. I was 7 and wanted to learn guitar, my mom bought me a guitar and lessons for Christmas, and I found out later that my dad's side of the family threw a huge fit about it. I still play to this day, and look back on it as the absolute best gift I was ever given, and it brought my mom and I so much closer, since she was at every practice, lesson, and later, band gig I had to cheer me on. That kid's aunt legitimately could have changed his life for the better

5:10 contact security? "Yes,my adult friend has voluntarily left with a guy and has been answering me multpile times with a snippy tone that she's fine, but i still want you to search the venue so i can force her to be near me." Like....no?!
