There's nothing like watching old jontron while eating a frozen pizza and potato salad alone at 9:24pm

My favorite thing about Jon's early game reviews is that they are pure editing chaos. Want a random mariachi metal band jump cut? It's here!

It always surprises me how calm Jacques is whenever Jon freaks out

So let me get this straight..
He hums when he dies
And he makes the sound of agony when he jumps.

Let that sink in

When you realize in 2023 that by "two decades ago" he now means "three decades ago"

When I die, I hope I have enough time to utter the single most magical death sound ever heard by mankind.
"HMM-Hmm."
I also hope someone is around to hear it and that they get the reference. Then I will have done at least one thing right in my life.

10:53 and then Jon proceeded to not upload anything for over half a year.

5:57 There is now a game called "Legbreaker" where every jump breaks the character's legs, I kid you not.

Ross: Jon! What are doing in my house!?
Jon: I'm here to help and be here for you during these hard times...
Ross: thanks mate hugs Jon in Australian

"This isn't the LION KING!"
shows a picture of fucking arthur

1:27 Just a friendly reminder that Space Ace would never cheat on his wife or send young fans inappropriate texts

What Jon missed:
Change people to babies
Render Earthlings helpless

Ironically, later the same year this vid was done, the arcade versions of Dragon's Lair and Space Ace both appeared on steam. Such a tragedy for Jon.
Though I guess watching him play the awful console version was more amusing for us.......

1:29 You can juuuust start to see ross smile right before it cuts away. Good to know because his line felt real. XD

Ross: JOHN, WTF ARE YOU DOING IN OUR HOUSE!?!
Holly: I'll get the guns...
Ross: cracks a smile before camera cuts away

8:08 8 years later and it still amazes me that Jon casually pulls out a really expensive looking Guy-Manuel helmet just for a bit.

gotta give it to JonTron's editor that rotoscoping (in the into) must have been really time-consuming.

I love how bored Holly sounds when she says "I'll get the guns." Like Jon breaking into their house is a regular occurrence and she doesn't even care anymore.

2:41 The proper way to insert a SNES cartridge

2:41 Jontron was truly ahead of his time
