I no longer use Harbor Freight Super Heavy Duty Degreaser in my ultrasonic cleaner. Harbor Freight changed the recipe. The bottle previously stated "NON-CORROSIVE". Now it says "CORROSIVE", "do not user on Aluminum". It now damages most carburetors. Recently I have been using Simple Green PRO HD with good results.

I totally agree that we should all have the right to repair and that the companies that make it difficult and or impossible, should be the ones that are breaking the law. I find it disgusting how we now make everything to be thrown away rather than repaired all for corporate greed with a total disregard for the finite resources we have and the pollution they create getting those resources and creating more and more things that shorter and shorter lifespans. We need to change.

That was a master class in Honda carb repair! Especially that pilot circuit and needle. And you didn’t “tamper” or modify any emissions controls. You cleaned them. The emissions will be a heck of a lot lower with that clean carb, than if someone left it running dirty and with the choke partially on! Fantastic repair as always!

When I was a teenager, the owner's manual for vehicles contained all the information you needed to adjust the contact breaker gap, correct valve clearance, and perform all periodic maintenance. Today, the manual only contains two instructions: "If the yellow dashboard light comes on, take your car to a dealership immediately" and "Do not drink the battery water."
Manufacturers claim that the car is "highly technological and the owner is not qualified to perform ANY repairs because it requires training and special equipment." In other words, it has become completely disposable.

We used a generator just like this one for the last 24 hours,
Our power was out in our community
The generator ran the refrigerator and a fan
Good machine,
Use non ethanol fuel and sea foam additive

Excellent video! I had the same vintage EU2000i on my sailboat for many years. Had to clean and rebuild the carburetor once down in the Bahamas. Wish I had this video to watch before I stumbled through it! Wonderful video, thanks for posting!

Being good at jigsaw puzzles would be a great help working on these. If it is an early build of this model it's likely better as they like to find ways to cheapen it for more profit

So many carburetors prevent adjusting the idle jet. Unfortunately that causes many people to simply run with the choke partially on. That causes much more pollution that simply allowing the carburetor to be adjusted correctly. Today many carburetors are 3rd party throw away carbs. So frugal people simply replace them and throw them away. Most people don’t expect a gas powered machine to last more than a year or two anymore. That limiting screw causes most modern machines to have an express lane to the landfill.
