It amazes me that every vehicle has to have a roadworthy certificate, yet not every road is vehicle worthy 🤔🤨

Bloody Hell, poor bloke had no hope of saving that

Damn, that one shocking piece of road repair. Glad your rider isn't too badly banged up. He should DEFINITELY be getting onto a good lawyer and claiming the council for damages!

That's the crap that pisses me off. You send a crew out to mark the road.  How about something original. Send a crew out to repair it. Stupid bureaucrats.

I think this video highlighted the greatest benefit of group rides - there are others around to help if things go sideways!!

Yes, group rides can be hairy but it's very dependent on the members of the ride. If they're all respectful and have solid ground rules to follow, AND FOLLOW THEM, it can be a great experience! But all it takes are a couple 'bad apples' in the bunch to make the ride very dangerous!!

In this particular video, though, the most dangerous concern is THAT ROAD and the horrific rise the rider struck!! Holy cows!! That would be like hitting an alligator or croc at his tail!! YIKES!!

I hope the down rider has a swift and complete recovery!! Thank you to all who helped in his time of need!

I hope you called the police and reported the incident to to the highway's department,
Who by rights should have either put this road right straight away, or closed this section off until they could mend it,
Absolutely bloody outrageous road condition, because someone has already seen it, and marked it off for work, but just left it,
In the UK,
Our Insurance would be photographing that and Suing for Highway department,
For sure 👍
Cheers Paul 👍

Road was da Culprit, guys has nuttin to do wit riding in group rides! smh, hope dude experiences God speed recovery 🙏🏻

So glad to hear he is well.

Cheers to all my brothers and sisters down under....  from NW Montana, USA.  Ride safe!!!

This has to be one of the most underrated danger as a rider. Where I live, there's tons of pothole. They are frequent and they tend to be huge. If you hit one of those, it's like rolling the dice on your health or even worse, your life.

That dude on the rocket ...what a legend😅🍻

That chap needs to get some legal advice as there’s a legal negligence claim against someone there for leaving the road in that condition 🤬.  Thanks to you for the coverage of the road defect and magnitude of the trap and negligence causing such a dangerous road hazard.  That would be good evidence for the legal case. 👍

I'm no a fan of big, group rides, but admire what they do for charities etc. That there shows exactly the state of our roads right now. Absolutely appalling! I sure hope he makes a quick recovery.

I'm with the Vietnam Veterans & Veterans MC Tasmania chapter, we had one of our guys crash, he was leading the ride, in early April, got away with a broken/dislocated wrist and shoulder.
I believe that having members trained in trauma first aid, St Johns here run a motorcycle first aid course, also carrying a trauma kit or several within the group is a must, we can't put a value cost on someones life, so the cost of doing/having these things is a no brainer.
As the saying goes - Better to have it & not need it, than to need it & not have it!!

Great to hear Bendigo mentioned my cousins live there 😊

I never ride in a group too many possible problems

I will ride with one or at most two friends well spaced

Hope the man is ok and recovers quickly

Bloody good adventure. Love the comradery and glad that guy came up good. I was expecting a head injury with some neurological damage. Awesome video!

Meaning of Life.. To be content and not having to look back having missed out..

Reminds me of OUR ROADS in LOUISIANA, USA 🇺🇸.
The Entire State the roads are like that everywhere.
