I admire the bass players. Although the sound of a bass is essential over anything else, they are not being stood up in a stage. Also have to pay extra dollar when flying, carrying heavy items everywhere.

thank you for this!! i’ve been playing violin in my orchestra for quite some time now and volunteered to switch my instrument for some concerts because of a bass player shortage. i’ve been kind of nervous to make the switch so this definitely eased some anxiety!

Always nice to review the fundamentals, the very first thing that I did when I got my bass (well, apart than learning to hold the bass) was focus on these concepts until it became natural and automatic to my playing.
