I had one of these a few years back. It is the one vehicle that I really regret selling. We had some great family holidays, when the kids were small.

I remember back in about 1976 my dad had an old banger of a Comma van.
One of the back doors was missing so he hung a curtain there instead, it left big clouds of blue smoke in its trail. Me and my little brother used to sit in the back. He had no licence, no tax, and no insurance. Different times.
Thanks for showing us this absoloute beauty of a camper Comma Freddie, its bought back some fantastic memories 👍

That is an absolute beauty and the colour suits it well.

We had the van and got to admit i loved the old thing, that suspension nice and springy

Tis a thing of beauty. It takes me back to the late 60s when as kids our Dad hired a brand new Commer motorhome (could well have been a Jennings) and with Mum and my brother we drove from London to the Tenby area in it. Great memories and my Dad who would probably rather have been at home or down the pub with his mates negotiating some of the narrow lanes of South Wales especially one incident where his patience was wearing thin after having to reverse for the umpteenth time for someone to pass he grabbed the gear leaver to reverse and as he pulled it the knob shot off the gear-lever and flew over the seats and rolled right to the end of the motorhome and myself and my brother were dispatched over the seats to hunt where the knob went while my Mum was ordered to give my Dad a handkerchief to wrap around the now knob-less gear-lever! Happy days!

It's a shame we didn't get these in the U.S.
That's a pretty cool RV!

Even matching colour wood on the cab dashboard

Yes my old man had a Comma van as well that used to leave a trail of smoke when he drove off

The fog lights ARE nice

Thanks,I remember BT had them.

The louvres ARE nice, too!

My brother in law who was a builder had a drop side pickup one of these, back in the mid 1970s, a right good work horse

I love your motor home! I remember Comma vans. :face-red-heart-shape:

It's beautiful. Looks like aboat inside.

I’ve got a Hillman Hunter GT 1725cc cylinder head. It’s complete with the Stromberg twin carbs, manifolds, etc. it’ll drop straight on that engine and make a difference to the performance. Been in my (dry) garage about 35 years now. Time for a clear out!

I love the pinstriping so much im going to see if I can add it to a 1965 car cruiser carrisma  caravan

What an incredible machine.

Very nice build!

This brings back memories.  Thankyou
My parents owned a green Roadranger with the double cab bed in the late 1970s - RFD605F purchased from a family near Bodmin in Cornwall.  Jennings really were a well established coach building enterprise later bought by ERF who produced a superb more modern Roadranger.
