"Show me the 10 Most wanted Yugioh Cards" "I don't really know Yugioh. But I asked someone and they said there's only 9 cards in the game anyone wants"
MBT trying to think of an angle of defense for the Fair Use claim was hilarious. "Don't pull something" gets used a lot in reaching but he looked legitimately physically strained there. His dedication to a bit is admirable.
It came up in a single chat message and now I have to point it out and talk about it, when Neopets came up at the very end someone chimed in with the one thing everyone says, "hey wasn't Neopets run by Scientologists". I have to explain, no, it was not run by Scientologists. It was funded by Scientologists, and whenever those guys came to the creative team behind Neopets and asked them to put Scientology-related stuff in the game, they would repeatedly refuse them and say "no, this is a game for kids, we are not putting Scientology propaganda into our game". So no, no one on the team was a Scientologist, nothing in the game referenced or encouraged Scientology, Neopets was not a psyop for Scientology in any way. Neopets was successful because a couple of really rich weirdos put a bunch of money into the game but the actual people making Neopets kept them at arm's length the entire time. Also the team running Neopets is entirely different now anyway and is trying to get a new push to get the game back in the public eye.
I believe you can forego saying "allegedly" every time since the defendants admitted to it several times. It's no longer slander at that point, but a statement of fact.
