After 10 years of selling on Etsy, I've found that the sellers who succeed are often focusing on completely different things than everyone else. In this video, I'm sharing the Etsy truths that have helped us build a full-time business and continue growing year after year.

Easily one of the most practical Etsy videos I’ve watched! Your point about 'boring sells' and focusing on evergreen milestones is so smart, and the advice against AI thumbnails is spot on. Thank you both for sharing your 10 years of expertise!

I always send thank you codes and favorites codes and the sales that I’ve gotten have been from them using the fav code. Most of the time nobody leaves a review even if I send a hand written note or a small thank you gift. It’s hard to not be discouraged when you make really nice premium products and put effort into it and see shops making subpar products that are cheap have thousands of sales. The struggle is always real!!! Etsy can be a real jungle ya know?

I have been watching every video I can find that has to do with online shops. I really would like to start one however I honestly have no idea how to do it. You taught me things that NO other video even touched on. Which of course brings me to having more questions. However I see this as a good thing. I want to learn all I can before doing anything. Thank you so much. I am going to subscribe to your channel because you helped me so much. For the record your channel is the ONLY one I have subscribed to because of the fact that you talk about things no one else does. Thank you so much.

This video is great! Ive had a shop for about a year and hit a pause about 6mon ago. Only 5% of my listings have few sales or visits. Should I make duplicate listings of these and test different thumbnails/fonts/etc? &/or make new products similar to these current 5%? Thank you for your time.

Listening to this with my noise cancelling headphones on. 😂 There’s a sound that plays when the camera view slides, it sounds like something falling 😂😭 Scares me every time. 😂

Another great video; I have an etsy shop and we sell some custom items, where they upload images or request colors; but also sell “stock” items with difference patterns to choose from - they both do well; customs are great; but for those people who are indecisive, just having a few options is good too!

it's nice to see positive videos.
I've been on Etsy for 11 years, I'm always following new trends, updating everything according to the new Etsy standards, but it's never been this bad. I promote myself on social networks, and I buy Etsy advertising, sales are falling. And before, Etsy was my full-time job. Eh...

Do I have to use social media to be successful on Etsy?

I love your videos. I always learn so much and it’s helped me in my Etsy shop. I can’t wait until you get into AD spending 0_o

I tried high ads up to $1000/day.. and this month I’m trying $25/day on 2 listings. My main seller and another listing I’m trying to promote. This is what’s working for me currently. I saw higher spending didn’t really increase the amount of orders I get, it’s just threw away my money. Maybe I’m wrong and there’s a better way to do it. AD sales are only making up 20% of my sales. I tried no ads Jan-Apr and it was okay. But sales declined every month. Not sure if it was the season or not. Anyway. Can’t wait for your ad video! God bless.

I sell that boring product 😂 but I have repeat business all the time. It solves a problem for the buyer.

What are the best products to sell on Etsy?

@merouaneess 3 months ago

Hey sallie, thank you for bringing value in each Vedio, I have a problem that I can't find a solution for it until now, here's my situation I have conversion t r 7% and some listings with just 1 or 2 visits they get a sale, but I don't get enough traffic so my sales increase, I think maybe my bottleneck is traffic, how could I fix that?!, what do you think , thank you in advance

> **87 million active buyers. 5.6 million active sellers. Buyers purchase about 3 times a year. That’s roughly 47 purchase occasions per seller per year — less than one a week, even before accounting for unequal distribution. Do the math before opening a shop.

Getting people to leave a review can be as hard as getting the sale it seems

This is a great video, with the most useful advice presented really well in a very simple way. I have a successful Etsy shop in .01% of sellers, and agree with everything you’ve said.
