Animal tarot decks provide a unique aesthetic for readings, and I am adding two beautiful new sets to my collection today.
The Oak, Ash & Thorn and The Heartwood Tarot Decks.
Finding the right cards often comes down to the artwork and the energy conveyed by the illustrations. These two recent additions feature rich, detailed animal motifs that immediately caught my eye. By examining the visual style of each card, you can see how the creators interpreted classic archetypes through the lens of nature and wildlife imagery.
I created this walkthrough to show you the specific card art so you can evaluate whether these animal tarot decks align with your personal style. Seeing the full scope of the illustrations is the best way to determine if a set will resonate with your intuitive practice. Whether you are expanding your tarot library or looking for fresh inspiration for your daily draws, these decks offer a compelling look at how animal symbolism can be integrated into traditional card layouts.

Usually I like bordered decks but in this case the artwork is so so SO beautiful that that border, which is crisp white out of all the possible light tones, is so out of place. For this reason only I like the borderless deck better. 🙂
thanks for showing us both decks together.
