i may be biased as a dodgers fan, but between the storytelling, the pacing, and the vin clips narratively placed throughout, i genuinely think this is one of your best videos ever. the script is super well written and highlights all of the most important moments and context needed to get fully immersed. great job jolly this was a fantastic watch.

As a Giants fan, I love hearing Vin Scully in this video

I know it didn’t turn out well for the Mets but I actually think it’s the 1999 NLCS. Go Braves.

Fun fact about game four, Oral snuck into the bullpen. Tommy had no idea he was in the pen

@BigtimeAL 1 day ago

Kirk Gibson was the most clutch player during that '88 season.

This isn’t the 2004 NLCS

Good shit. That ending with Vin was especially excellent. 3-0Greenlight also did a great video about the 88' Dodgers (mostly Orel) a couple months ago and goes into great depth of that NLCS

The 1986/88 Mets playing the Bash Brothers A's would have been cinema but also hard to fathom those teams being in the same era. Instead we still got an all time moment with Gibson vs Eck. Great video Jolly

Can we get a 1985 Royals video?? Back to back 3-1 comebacks in the ALCS and WS?

Thank you Jolly for your content. I’m a die hard Dodgers fan and I can’t appreciate you enough for adding Vin in your content. I love the 88 team and I thank you for telling the story of one of the greatest underdogs in mlb history. Orel was lights out that year

What I will always remember about the 86 Mets is the team singing We Are The Champions on Solid Gold.

My favorite player from the 80s is Don Mattingly, he was the main reason I became a Yankees fan, growing up in Houston.

Favorite player from the 80's Nolan Ryan

You should have said "former All-Star Alfredo Griffin" in the same way I hear "Pro-Bowler Tyler Huntley."

this era was the beginning of my baseball fandom at 10 y/o. As a Giants fan I wanted to Mets to take out the Dodgers. Favorite player during this time was Will Clark.

IIrc the idea behind the alternating home field advantage is because the teams played division heavy schedules.

The Greatest National Championship Series of All-Star in 1992 between the Atlanta Braves vs Pittsburgh Pirates. It gave us Barry Bonds Last Stand with the Pittsburgh Pirates when Barry Bonds failed to throw out his ex teammate Sid Bream when Francisco Cabrera got the game winning walkout single that scored David Justice to tie the game and Sid Bream who scored the winning run.
