Now this was the EastEnders... Angie was the heart of it

I was born in 91 and started watching when I was 5. So I’ve never seen these early ones .There so much better than the ones on today.

Love the chemistry between all the ‘classic’ characters (Angie, Lou, Arthur, Den and Pete) in the pub scene. Most of them gone over the next  12 months.

200 a month for rent.  How times have changed.

I think it's interesting that you can see the evolution in style from 85 to 88. I think you'd find it hard to spot a significant difference from 2018 to 2021 though.

They allowed the children to be children then. When Michelle picked Vicky up and kissed her cheek she said “Oi” and wiped it off

The way Ian spoke to his mother at the end was unforgivable.

I'm pretty sure Angie wore the same silk blouse here as she did when she returned as a ghost to save Sharon from the vic explosion in `February 2025

The good old days

These were the grand old days when EastEnders was really great! I don't think it's as good these days generally, but it still does have some good moments, but they are few and far between, when compared to the classic EastEnders. I watch the classic EastEnders every week day on Drama or Drama + 1 and also watch the other in the week or weekend omnibus edition.

Kathy… “I don’t hate anyone” 20 seconds later “I hate her”😂

Ha ha!!  The banana hair clip on Sharon!

Omg .. 😮I remember my mum had a blouse just like Angies ❤❤❤❤

Creepy Willmot-Brown

£200 a month rent plus bills. London always was pricier than the rest of the country!
