Always heard those rubbers are to keep the filth out of the mags. Nice collection of Carbines, man. My first one was a Quality Hardware. Paid $400 for it around 2000.

Nice to meet my collecting competition, you know as collectors, we are really just the current caregiver of our militaria. It's amazing to think of how many hands a particular piece has been through since it's creation. Gives credence to the saying, if only this piece could talk. Job well done, maybe see you down the trail one day. Keep your shit wired tight and good luck to you.

Nice collection! Hope you can achieve your goal of finding 1 rifle from each manufacturer. 👍

I wish I had stocked up when they had them at the CMP back in 2005 or so :-/ I love the idea of companies like IBM, and Rockola and National Postal Meter building these, everyone pitching in for wartime production.

Love your channel. I attend the Wannenmachers Gun Show in Tulsa, Ok. when it comes in April and November. It is touted as the largest gun show in the world. There are 11 acres of everything you'd want or want to see during the two day show. There is usually a gentlemen there who has a display of all 10 makers of the M1 Carbine. If you ever have a chance to attend you'll have a great time.

Sometimes I get a carbine that jams every now and then, so I change new extractor springs, shoot like a dream afterward, then buy another carbine, and it never ends...
