"finally, nobody will ever bother me again!..."

"...nobody will ever bother me again..."

As someone living in Russia, where scenes like this can be seen every day during winter, I can say that the selection of photos and music feels cozy and nostalgic rather than eerie or unsettling

The title says 'discomfort core', but... but it's more like...... It's like Silent Hill's soundtrack. It's more like comfort because of an old doll, a worn down room, rust, where it still feels kind of safe, just..... Abandoned. Nostalgic. It's uncomfortable because it asks the uncomfortable questions we'd rather not answer.....

Good art is meant to comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable

My mother this morning yelled at me and threatened to take everything important out of my life, just for missing a single class (homeschooled.) Before i got into my first class, i had around 40 minutes before it started. She asked me to do the dishes, which usually take me 30-40 minutes depending on how bad it is, and how overwhelmed i am. I finished around 8 minutes before my class started, and she thanked me deeply. I recently had been taking care of most of the indoor chores. Doing the dishes, cleaning the floors, help clean my mothers mess, clean my room, and take care of our pets. Shes forced me to stay outside in 90-100 degree weather just to watch our dog. In the past, she's forced me to stay outside of the house and locked me out because i forgot to bring her a lamp. She had a phone to call me, why didn't she just use that? I was busy with work when she called me. Depression has seriously kicked me in the ass recently, but ive just started to try and heal, cleaning the doom piles and shit in my room thats been piled up for weeks, maybe months. It took me all day and all my energy, yet my mom still had the audacity to say i did barely anything, and needed to help her out. Its been 9 months since i last cut myself. I last relapsed early april, trying to kill myself again. i dont want to do it again, seriously. This playlist helped me this morning when i was looking for music to block it out. Thank you man, seriously.

finding comfort in discomfort

you smell of dead flowers used to be my comfort track. thanks for bringing it back to me

"Discomfort" and it helps me in a comforting way, it feels like a cold hug. Its hug but its a hug. A hug that helps me to stay alive. I'm drowning in depression but this helps me so much.

"When we grow up..."
"...sorry...."

i see a lot of comments saying how this looks like russia and czechia in the winter but it also looks like boston in the winter, funnily enough

For my English friends: Большинство пейзажей взято со среднестатистических русских дворов), прикиньте, мы каждую зиму такое видим.

пока слушал почувстовал вайб зимы и замерз нахуй насмерть🥶

Буквально каждая из этих картинок - это мой район. Да и вайб слишком похожий.

Bro summoned the whole Russian community with those background pictures lmao

Literally my neighborhood and grannies' village I grew in and remembered walking home from school, especially in winter, and walking my dog, ahhh. Truly comforting and nostalgic, went to my heart. Sometimes I wish we could share photos here because I have a lot of such vibe in my gallery.
That playlist is gorgeous, thank you❤

I like how the images tell a story, you go farther and farther from home into the forest

I’m honestly surprised none of the Caretaker’s works are in here
This has massive Everywhere At The End of Time vibes
