I was contacted by a local subscriber to my channel who was completely baffled by his first digital scope (ZULUS) so I felt it was my obligation to help him out so he can get out and enjoy some shooting with this amazing scope.

There is nothing too technical in this video. I am no expert but I know just some of the basics to get you going.
Hopefully some of you may find it useful.

I was thinking of getting the Zulus, but i have come upon one massive problem that stopped me buying it. And she is standing behind me so i can't type any more, but thanks for the heads up on the set up.

I bought a Zulus on impulse at the great British shooting show. To be honest, the technology has blown my mind. Following other videos on YouTube, I think I've managed to update the ballistic calculator, but quite how you're supposed to do these things from the owners manual, God only knows!!!

Very kind of you to help a fellow shooter ,very strange the AA grouping that bad ,4 rifles I used all loved them ,like pellet on pellet, but as we all know not all rifles like certain pellets

I bought one last week on your recommendation, thanks for the video, I am gradually getting there, I am surprising myself at 71 and a confirmed technophobe with how well I am doing. The local farm rats would confirm how good it is, if they were still alive 😂 Cheers

Excellent explanation, very basic and intuitive. I shoot up to 50 m (55 yd) in .177 sub 12 and at that distance I calculate the BC by two methods (in fact there are 3 methods).
With 2 chronographs, one with a bayonet and another at 50 m (you have to shield it so you don't shoot it); another is with the drop.
But I like the trial/error method that you show better.

Thanks you so much for doing this video, mate. I found it incredibly helpful, as I was finding it really difficult to find out how to, and then understand, correcting the Ballistic Coefficients over my zeroed range and then dialling them in correctly.

I purchased a zulus last summer, older arken model, but I absolutely love it!!!! I have it mounted on a tikka ctr 308 win rifle and it's awesome! Once the ballistics calculator is set up, with accurate speeds with a chrono my rifle shoots great out to 300m right on the money

I have two tins of AA pellets. One is total garbage in everything apart from my TX 200 and the other is fantastic in everything. Won’t buy any more for fear they are the terrible ones. Only time I can get a very tiny group out of Baracuda 8 is the first five shots after using JSB - just like you got, done it several times in different rifles. QYS very good and get better with more shots, sometimes takes forty to show full potential.
