“Freddie’s just being particularly unhelpful” 😂😂

You gotta love reality when it's cocker shaped.

She’d be a nightmare pet if someone bought her and didn’t train her. Everyone wanting a spaniel should watch this to ensure they can put in the time

Excellent - real life rather than staged with a perfect pup.
(And isnt she absolutely gorgeous too 😍)

So good to see a naughty one 😂

We've had nightmare. Our next door neighbour bought a show line cocker spaniel puppy. There are no fences between our two properties as it's shared access. We've had their puppy running through our garden, and weeing etc. in our garden. She's so exited when they let her out she does the zoomies and takes no notice of them calling her. She's totally oblivious of them.
The owners need to watch your channel. 👏

Thank you for showing the real life version of a cocker spaniel, my boy is exactly like Wizzy and this makes me feel so much better about life 😂💜

Smart dogs.  The learn fast by experience. My dog was about 4 month. In the spaniel-mood. Chasing a rabith. He was more curious than hunting. Trust me i know the diffrents. I let him go and follow him on sight from a distance. The rabbith was to fast. Then he realised he was walking with me  and i saw him pannic. He couldn’t find me.  I stapped forward  and called him. He was opgelucht. I said nothing else but heel and to my suprise he walked straith next to me,  to our house. He never in his life did this again.  He always keep my in his eye.

I like ‘She is a Wizzy’. We always said  he is  cocker spaniel what else had you expected..  An experience with joy, love,  energy and faith  fo 14 years. Still miss him., that litlle brave  one.

She is just adorable

Lord that brings back memories.  My best ever Cocker was such an energy emitter for her first 2 years.  No recall - if you tried she'd look back over her shoulder & laugh.  Eventually she became totally reliable off lead & was my life long hiking partner.  Best dog ever.  But those first 2 years!

Mine was (and still is) super confident and independent just like yours here. But, he took to training and he's as good as gold. He can be 200 yards away from me chasing squirrels but, one whistle, and he's back to me at full pelt. He seats,  lays down, waits, all perfect... Retrieving is a different story. He catches the ball, and then encourages me to chase him 😂

I really appreciate seeing a training video where there is a real world and unexpected distraction for the dog because it’s a situation most normal people can recognise.

My springer was just like this. It was a shock. Such confidence in a 12 wk old. And attitude. Very bitey. Independent. Self assured. Didn’t think he needed me. It was very hard. Very hard. At 2 yrs he’s still on lead in parks. But it’s slowly coming. Keep on with the training folks. Sometimes spaniels need to mature before it sinks in. Having them off lead before they’re ready is a disaster without recall. Certainly for independent confident pups. This video was really good to see.

Love the advice on locations and training areas and setting up situations and - not wasting your breath!!❤😊

I love your videos your pups are beautiful and it’s so helpful to see how you teach Wizzy keeping everything so simple.  I’ve had Springers for over 40 years my husband being a shooting man and all their characters have been so different I love them😊🐶🐶

Love watching these. Especially this one. Our crazy cocker spaniel pup is almost 5 months, and despite being easily distracted by the big wide world, she is doing so well with her recall. Thank you again for all your guidance and tips in these videos. They have been a godsend ❤

One of the hardest things I have ever done bringing up a cocker puppy. If Id have seen a video before would of changed my mind. Glad I didn't.  Apart from pulling up my plants😢 . We as a family wouldnt be without her. Takes patience and letting them know whos in charge. 🙄💕

I watch these videos for no other reason than entertainment. Charlie you are SO patient and fun to watch. I DO have an American cocker puppy who's a little loveable brat, so hopefully I can pick up some tips by watching these.

Reminds me of our pup. We couldn’t take her to the park for pretty much all of her first year for exactly this reason 😂.
