Mick's comment about going back into the real world definitely resonates as someone doing remote podcasts myself.

It was quite surreal to be in that environment for the three days in Mannhein, feeling the in-the-room connections. Was also a pleasure to meet you in person, Mick. Hopefully our paths will cross again in the future.

51:12 shots fired. I love it.

I asked a question about underdrives, thank you all (Mick, Dan & the TPS community) so much for the recommendations. I found a used Mad Professor Evolution Orange Overdrive that same night and I just received it; exactly what I was looking for. It's all I ever needed and I will definitely never have to change my pedalboard again this month.

Hi from Australia guy's loved the show it's the first time I've watched Q&A having played in rock bands in my teens through to mid late twenties there is nothing more satisfying than when 3-5-more individuals play live gigs as a band and all the members of that band become ONE and the magic happens it's just an awesome time together ❤️ every minute.

Thanks as always, guys! Going from strength-to-strength,.. 😊

It was really great meeting you Mick. Thanks for playing one of my guitars on stage.

The Wailers lead guitarist was Peter Tosh, a great singer and songwriter in his own right and a great guitar player.

Man, I’d love to see a TPS episode in the states. Tps travels abroad!

These guys are great. Good content and good energy too

Dear mates, thank you so much for your kind birthday wishes.  I'm just catching up on yesterday's VCQ because an old childhood friend who needed a bit of help called right as you were going live and I had to miss all of it!  Great work, as ever.  I would have seconded all the enthusiastic community oriented comments about Experience Day and hope everyone at TPS continues to notice the consistent thread amongst we who show up.  What's that old trite but true saying?  Your vibe attracts your tribe?  Something like that.  Also, I smiled at how you flipped the picks about and listened to their sound on the cutting board.  Larry Cragg will shake a handful of plastic bridge pins and then another of the water buffalo ones to demonstrate the difference in how they sound.  It all adds up!  Alchemy lives!  And I hope to as well, for another year.  Cheers, guys.  You make it all worth while.

Karnivool are amazing

Awesome gents. As always.

I’m defo in trying to be a better guitarist phase. Trying to practice 30 mins a day or so. Learning new things has open my eyes to how limited I have been (despite being pretty decent). Been on a big country learning kick recently, so different and interesting. I don’t want to be or even sound like a country player but I do want to understand it enough to be able to utilise the techniques in my own way.

For anyone who likes dead strings - buy the bulk box like the nyxl 25 packs. They’re meant for techs/shops that will go through them in a week or two. But since they’re not sealed in plastic they seem to corrode very quickly.

I once visited a guitar store and the guy was over the moon about his new stings on a flat top. I couldn't tell him I preferred a more more worn-in "bronzy" tone so I smiled BIG.

Jolly good lads! Greetings from Los Angeles. Thank you both in all that you do for being great human beings.

Ibanez make a great EQ pedal too! Quite affordable.
It’s more silent than the Boss we all came to love.
‘Ibanez Pentatone’.

for unconventional pop chords, virtually anything from Pet Sounds except Sloop John B!

Dan: If that vintage 70' LP with the mini's is not bright, I'd be checking the wiring, pot values, caps, measuring the pickups, etc. Mini's from the 70's are not muddy. The neck is nice and sharp; the bridge usually needs cutting back on the treble control to avoid peeling paint off the walls. Coming from a "mostly" Tele environment, it will be less bright than the Tele. But it should be brighter than any standard humbuckers you have.

But, if it checks out, and it's still not bright enough for you, install some Firebird pickups. Make sure they are actually modeled on Firebirds... there's a lot of mis-used terminology out there by the PU makers of Mini or Firebird. You don't want just minis with no visible pole pieces, you want Firebird designs and their wind. That will be plenty bright for even a Tele guy.

I agree Dan , Marcus King sounded great on that jam...I thought the same thing when I was watching
