Viqui De Masi presents the case of María Teyes Fajardo, known as Sister Marina: a Colombian nun from the Trinitarian Sisters who worked at a girls' shelter in Boulogne and was sentenced in 2023 to 10 years in prison for aggravated simple sexual abuse of five victims between the ages of 12 and 17. What makes the case unique: the abuse always occurred in the kitchen or storage room, when the girls' hands were occupied with a task. The complaint was filed in 2021, and the trial was resolved in two years, unprecedented for this type of crime within the Church. Also featured is the testimony of Luciana, a former resident of the shelter, who recounts how Sister Marina used her secret to isolate her sister.
